Chiz cautions againts granting PGMA emergency powers

01 March 2010 - Opposition Senator Chiz Escudero today opposed the granting of special powers to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to address the worsening power shortage especially in Mindanao as this might again result in expensive power purchase agreements (PPA).

Chiz reiterates open checking of source codes

28 February 2010 - Sen. Chiz Escudero today said that the source codes must be opened for checking by concerned sectors as the Comelec awaits the arrival of the last batch of the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines today.

11 January 2010 - Opposition Sen. Chiz Escudero said yesterday that political considerations should not be taken into account by the Judicial Bar Council when it decides on the issue regarding the replacement of Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynato Puno.
